Rory Gallagher's Guitar Giclée Print
Rory Gallagher's Guitar Giclée Print
Rory Gallagher was an Irish blue-rock virtuoso whose raw talent and passionate performances captivated audiences worldwide.
Rory bought the 1961 Fender Stratocaster guitar in 1963 for £100, from Crowley's Music Store in Cork, Ireland. This guitar was Rory Gallagher's No.1 instrument through four decades and he played continuously both onstage and in the recording studio.
“Rory had a lot of guitars, but this was his main instrument, the mistress of the harem, as it were. This is the guitar he loved” Neil McCormick, music critic.
This guitar was sold at auction in 2024 and was given to the Irish state to be put on public display.
The original drawing is done with polychromo pencils on Bristol paper.
