"It is the first time someone captured the real me' - Imelda May

I met Imelda May before a gig at Galway International Arts Festival to take some photos for this painting. I gave her one of my John Sheehan Plectrum pendants, a silver plectrum with a moving 9ct yellow gold bird. She told me that her parents called her 'little bird' as a child. Imelda wore my necklace during the gig that night.

On seeing the completed portrait, Imelda contacted me to say -

"It is the first time someone captured the real me".

Limited Edition Fine Art Archival Pigment Prints, printed on Cotton Rag Paper are available in sizes A4 and A3. 

The original is painted in oils on a 90cm X 60cm canvas.
